Weinberger has been eagerly waiting to announce its newest camera, the SpeedCam Visario G2! The G2 is the
next generation of high speed cameras that will add to the well known Visario 1500 that will now be referred to as the Visario G1. The main similarity between the Visario G2
and Visario G1 is the high resolution patented APS-CMOS sensor that has been the backbone of the SpeedCam Visario camera family. The G2 is an aggressive step in
providing cutting edge technologies not previously available to high speed cameras.
Here are a few of the newest features from the SpeedCam Visario G2:
Gigabit Ethernet:
The G2 implements the Gigabit Ethernet standard for high speed downloads and “plug and play” network
integration.
Independent Operation:
The Visario G2 is a fully independent camera head that does not require a dedicated host control computer. The
G2 can be run from a desktop workstation, laptop, or any Windows XP/2000 PC.
Optional Backup Battery:
The Visario G2 optional backup battery performs three very important functions. It retains data that has been
recorded. If the power to the camera is disconnected, the battery will protect the recorded images more than 1.5 hours.
If power to the camera is disconnected during the test, the G2 battery will actually enable the camera to continue to record for up to 1 hour, a capability that is unique to the SpeedCam Visario G2.
The Visario G2 can operate as a completely independent camera without any external power whatsoever. With this flexibility, the operator will only need a trigger cable to perform a test.
Fibre Optics:
With fibre communication becoming more widespread, the SpeedCam Visario G2 can implement an optional ST
fibre connector directly from the camera back panel. The direct connection means the camera does not need any additional fibre to copper converters outside the camera.
