PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) is a global leader in the design and manufacture of sensor instrumentation for acceleration, acoustics,
pressure, force, torque, load and strain.
Product technologies include piezoelectric, ICP®, TEDS, piezoresistive, capacitive and strain gage sensors for automotive, aerospace and industrial test and measurement applications, as well as primary calibration services for accelerometers, and A2LA accredited microphone calibration services.
Built expressly for the automotive crash test market, PCB®’s new Model 3901F3HB2000G piezoresistive accelerometer is designed to measure severe impacts and provide accurate output signals for automotive
crash test applications.
Its miniature size allows a technician to gather key data from hard-to-reach areas of the vehicle, enabling enhanced overall measurement capability on the test structure. The sensor’s DC steady state capability is ideal for critical data capture during a crash event, particularly frontal, side and rear impact testing.
PCB crash test accelerometers feature a full, active-bridge design; meets the SAE J211 accelerometer test specification, can be used with pedestrian head form impactors and free motion head forms, and are
well-suited for most safety test applications.
In addition, PCB also manufactures a wide range of force sensors and load cells for automotive safety testing. Piezoelectric models offer fast rise times and
frequency responses to 75 kHz to satisfy high-G sled impact testing needs.
Single- and multi-axis strain gage load cells are available for crash barrier, steering column impact, bumper and seat belt test requirements.
