The LIMESS Messtechnik und Software GmbH is developping and manufacturing camera based measurement and image analysis systems which
are used for the measurement of 2D and 3D movement, deformation, geometry, vibration and non destructive testing.
The digital image correlation (DIC) systems measure fullfield 2D and 3D deformations and
strains of components in high speed applications and static applications like
material and component tests
crash tests and sledge tests
pedestrian safety tests
optimization of airbags
validation of FEM calculations
exploration of cracks
vibration analysis.
The determination of material properties at static and highly dynamic tension tests is an important base capability of the 2D-DIC and
3D-DIC systems. This approach leads to accurate FEM simulations and helps developping and quantifying new materials and components. Main advantages of digital image correlation systems:
Full field measurement
Measurement of 2D and 3D displacement, velocity and strain distributions on any surface and geometry
Measurement field sizes can range from < 10x10mm up to to > 10x10m
High accuracy (1/100 of a pixel = 10µm at a measurement field of 1x1m)
Measurement of quasi static and highly dynamic events.
LIMESS develops also customer specific image analysis software and turnkey systems. These systems are often used for quality control
and online inspection in production. Furthermore as a customer service we are carrying out deformation measurements and image sequence analysis.
LIMESS GmbH is Europe wide active with his representation network and has multiple offices in Germany.
