Seattle Safety / ZSE ServoSled System with a nominal force up to 3.1 MNDownload Data Sheet in pdf Format

The SESA acceleration sled system has been named, ServoSled, and this system is the next step forward in sled technology. Like the conventional servo-hydraulic sleds, the system uses computer- controlled servo-valves to form the pulse, but the fluid does not itself push the sled. Instead the servo-hydraulic system modulates the pressure applied to a hydraulic friction brake which controls the net force and energy applied to the sled by a pneumatic actuator. The advantage of this approach is that standard industrial single-stage servo-valves and small hydraulic power units can be used with resulting higher frequency response and low cost, complexity, and maintenance.
