Kistler and Kayser-Threde - A Strong And Successful Team
Kayser-Threde and Kistler AG have teamed up three years ago to create the most
advanced solution for crash barrier instrumentation. In the meantime the fifth system was sold and now there are Kistler Smart Barriers in Germany, France, Italy, and
Korea and the Kistler/Kayser-Threde solution became almost a standard around the world. The combination of piezo-electric transducers and the fully integrated in-sensor
data acquisition (MICRODAU) has enormous advantages compared to all other approaches. The Kistler Smart Barrier is furthermore the only system that has all data
acuqisition components including the data memory inside each cell and uses at the same time a standard bus system (USB) for communication instead of proprietary
