Weinberger / Messring at the Testing Expo 2006 - Spectacular ejection seat presentation at booth # C212
During this year’s Testing Expo, WEINBERGER in cooperation with MESSRING
will present a dynamic test exhibit that includes an authentic ejection seat from a U.S. fighter jet. The ejection seat will be fired vertically to a height of
16’ and will reach an acceleration of 10g’s! The ejection seat will be propelled by highly compressed nitrogen and will be a part of a test rig exclusively built
by MESSRING for the Test Expo 2006. A test dummy will pilot our ejection seat and his movements will be captured by WEINBERGER high speed cameras running at 1,000 fps. The dummy pilot, a HIII ATD, will be fully
instrumented with the latest M=BUS technology by MESSRING. More than 40 sensors and their data acquisition modules are interconnected with the
minute 2.5mm M=BUS coax cable in a daisy chain architecture. The captured high speed video and numerical sensor data will be downloaded instantly
after the test for analysis and presentation. CrashSoft3, the world leading software by MESSRING for analyzing crash tests, will be used to precisely
synchronize the test data and provide immediate results in the form of graphs and tables.
The M=BUS data acquisition system is now completely released and has just recently proven its reliability
during a certification test at a European Space Agency’s test lab. The M=BUS easily surpassed expectations when it was tested successfully up to 1,100 g’s.
The ejection seat presentation will be repeated every hour throughout the show. Please stop by our booth #
C212 and share our enthusiasm for this new and exciting technology!
