MESSRING M=BUS® Components Passed 1,000g Shock Test.
M=BUS® cables, connectors and devices exceed all expectations. As a part of the certification and validation program for the new InDummy data acquisition system M=BUS® the MESSRING team performed a
series of shock tests to prove the performance of the system. The shock tests have been carried out on a drop tower at the space division of the independent test lab IABG in Ottobrunn near Munich. The M=BUS® Ethernet Gateway together with a 3-channel-M=BUS® Data Logger and the M=BUS® Cable was tested in all directions (±x, ±y, -z)
with accelerations up to 1,100G.

6-Channel-Logger from Messring in Production
The new 6-channel M=BUS® module is the second generation of M=BUS® data
acquisition devices, that is designed to fit perfectly into sensors and body parts of a modern ATD. The module with a size of 40x23x12mm and a weight of 15g consists of
a foldable PCB, which is moulded by a plastic material. The connection to the sensor wires is realized by a small adapter PCB with a ruggedized connector, so that the data
logger can easily be disconnected from the sensors. Each module contains a small LiPolymer-Battery for independent operation, which is attached on top of the plastic housing. Because it is not
inside the housing, an exchange of the battery is very simple. This module enables a very cost efficient conversion of ATD’s to new InDummy data acquisition. New types of Dummies and also old ATD’s can be
reconfigured with M=BUS data acquisition systems. full story in pdf format
