Kayser-Threde Introduces nxtFMH Full Story and more pictures

Kayser-Threde, the worldwide market leader for crash test data acquisition and in-dummy technology, is proud to introduce a new version of its legendary free motion head form solution - the nx tFMH . When Kayser-Threde first introduced its real wireless solution at the SAE Show in 2003 it was a real breakthrough in testing according to FMVSS 201. Since then, Kayser-Threde converted numerous free motion head forms around the world with this unique technology. According to the users testing has since then become easier, more reliable, and more repeatable. With the experience gained in more than 3 years Kayser-Threde has now revised the system and implemented the latest MICRODAU® technology, which gives the customer even higher accuracy and better performance. The nxtFMH package consists of an upper neck replacement which contains the data acquisition modul and a rechargeable power supply based on gold capacitor technology. This power supply is completey maintanance free, powers the package for up to 30 seconds, and eliminates the problems of rechargeable batteries (no replacement necessary during life time). The mechanical interface was designed by Robert A. Denton, to make sure that the mass, mass distribution, center of gravity and moment of inertia are absolutely identical to the original part. No changes were made to the original mounting block for the transducers, which assures that the nxt FMH is fully compliant to the FMVSS 201 regulation. Since the system is controlled and powered via the standard USB interface of a PC or Notebook, it is not necessary to install additional adapters, converter boxes, or power supplies, which is often the case when proprietary bus systems are used. A triaxial gyroscope is available as an option. The package also includes an easy to use software which stores the test data in ISO format and offers a direct interface to analysis software packages such as EVAluation PC form IAT or DIAdem from National Instruments. Despite the additional features of the new version Kayser-Threde is able to offer the nxt FMH at an even better price than the old solution. Please contact Kayser-Threde today to get more information on the new nxt FMH.
