The EuroSID-2re is a modified version of the EuroSID-2 dummy with Rib Extensions (re).
The EuroSID-2re is proposed to replace the SID-H3 in FMVSS 201 testing and the SID in FMVSS 214 testing. On May 17th, 2004, the Department of Transportation issued a Notice
of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for the 49 CFR Parts 571 and 598 as a proposal to replace the current 50th percentile male side impact dummies with the EuroSID-2re. ....
