The New Kayser-Threde In-Dummy System - Data Acquisition in a Sugar Cube!
As announced in previous newsletters and articles the size of a MICRODAU®
module is now down to 36 x 18 x 9 mm for a complete 3 channel data acquisition system including:
Complete signal conditioning including excitation and offset compensation for each channel 16-Bit A/D-Converters for each channel with up to 20 kHz sampling rate 16 MB Flash-Memory to store up to 100 s of data @ 20 kHz sampling rate 32-Bit Microcontroller with standard USB interface for simplified dummy cabling and setup TEDS functionality
The volume per channel is smaller than 2 cm³ which is less than the size of a sugar cube! With this
development Kayser-Threde again sets the standard for true miniaturization. Our cooperation partner Denton is currently integrating the first MICRODAU® modules inside a Hybrid III 50th. This dummy can be made available
for evaluation around the world, since the MICRODAU® system can be seamlessly integrated in existing MINIDAU® soft- and hardware environments. Furthermore, the MICRODAU® system can be integrated in any
existing crash test dummy. Denton and Kayser-Threde will even be able to retrofit the MICRODAU® into those
dummies that have been in use at your site for years, thus protecting your investments. You can now contact either Kayser-Threde or Denton to get quotes for dummy upgrades and new „dummies of the next generation“
with integrated MICRODAU® technology.
