KAYSER-THREDE, ROBERT A. DENTON, AND DENTON ATD WILL JOINTLY DEVELOP THE MOST ADVANDED IN-DUMMY DATA ACQUISITION UNIT
Mr. Robert A. Denton, Chairman of Robert A. Denton, Inc., Rochester Hills,
Michigan and Mr. Axel Schmalz, Managing Director of Kayser-Threde GmbH, Munich, Germany, are jointly announcing the establishment of a cooperative alliance between Kayser-Threde, Robert A. Denton, Inc. and
Denton ATD, Inc., focused on the design, development and production of an advanced “in-dummy” data acquisition system (DAS).
When completed this new DAS system will be adaptable to all currently
existing Anthropomorphic Test Devices (ATD’s) commonly identified as crash test dummies, will apply directly to all emerging dummy designs and
will be fully compatible with all existing Kayser-Threde data acquisition systems.
Kayser-Threde GmbH is the worldwide market leader in on-board measurement technology in crash testing. In
the last 25 years, Kayser-Threde has installed over 30,000 on-board data gathering channels around the world. These systems are all supported by an application proven database oriented software package.
For over twenty-seven years, Robert A. Denton, Inc. has been the leading global supplier of technologically
advanced, multi-channel load cells for safety crash testing applications, in the complete family of crash test dummies.
Denton ATD, Inc is a leading international manufacturer of crash test dummies. Product offerings range from the
“CRABI” 12-Month-Old-Infant Child to the H-III5F small female and the updated large male dummy (H-III95LM). This
family of some 15 Denton produced ATD’s are tested and certified to regulatory specifications and safety standard guidelines and they are fully instrumented with calibrated precision load cell devices.
