COE PRESENTS NEW DUAL AXIS TILT SENSOR

COE is introducing a dual-axis low-cost tilt sensor for installation inside crash test dummies or test cells. The Model 1401T has a digital interface for easy PC-connection and uses a three-wire bus interface. This will allows for use of more than one tilt sensor or compatible sensors of the 1401 series at one thread. Each transducer is endowed with an ID-function and includes additional user memory. Combined with a Handheld PC ( like Compaq iPAQ) or a standard PC and a software the user will have a mobile angle display – e.g. for the positioning procedure of dummies. The software will provide angle, temperature or humidity data if the related transducers are connected to the bus thread. The small Dual Axis Tilt Sensor Model 1401T has a weight of 3 grams and a angle range of +/- 60° with a resolution of  ¼°. Power can be provided by several options. Middle of August 2001 the described transducer will be available with an additional integrated temperature sensor.
