Sometimes the light needs to be dark
New test specifications require to perform the deployment test of airbag modules at
test temperatures down to -35°C. The light necessary to illuminate the test area so to enable HS photography and video will normally cause a heating of the airbag
module within a short period of time. So the tolerance of module temperature could not be kept. In the past the HIGH-S-LIGHT systems had been operated using the Standby and BOOST
mode. These measures offered already good control on test sample's temperature, but not sufficient for the latest low temperature requirements. The new HIGH-S-LIGHT 4000/2500 BOOST with Pneumatic Shutter
now offers the possibility to direct the light to the airbag module only in the needed sequence of time. The main functions therefore are integrated into the overall test sequence control.
